Flip4 trade in is $900, looks like those who got the free upgrade from the 3 to the 4 are about to get another one.

I think the most difficult part is no Band 71 suport on the Honor v2.

Band 71 is the primary 5G long range band for T-Mobile, so you would definitely have worse service.

That's the 600Mhz TV band that goes very far and into buildings.

If you do anything wait for the Oppo Find N3 (OnePlus Open) which looks like it will be a very similar design to the Honor V2.

T-Mobile will probably sell that directly, then you can bundle it with T-Mobile insurance since OnePlus support will probably suck for hardware issues.
This is not 100% accurate. Band 71 is not really necessary to get good service on tmobile. Its mostly used for 5g and only in some rural area and along some highways. 4G or LTE is more than enough for like 90% of people. If you live in a bigger city, you will likely be more than fine using the Honor V2.

Can someone help? If they disqualify the phone, and start the charge back, is it possible to do a return and do a comolete refuns and will they send back the phone?

A friend of mine told me a few years back he sent his first fold phone for trade-in, and they disqualified his phone because the internal screen was not working, he aas pissed and got his phone back and he believed it had hapoened during the testing and they were not taking responsibility. I think he didn't get a refund.

Anyways his story always made me relictant about trading in expensive phones. Do you guys know if this thing happens there is a way to appeal or if they will at least do a refund?

They can't place your order... they can make you a cart -- but that's it. If you just need a code, you just get the code.
Thanks for the clarification.

The only thing they do during testing is power on the phone, make sure it charges normally, holds a charge, and the screen is fully functional. There isn't any elaborate testing that is done. So more than likely, your friend new the screen was faulty and tried to slide it in.

Anyone have experience with trading in a device with a small oval of dead pixels? Screen is not cracked, but it has a noticeable area of dead pixels.

I'm guessing I'd have to select cracked?

anyone thinking about trading in S21 Ultra for Z Flip 5? they're giving $600 for the trade in but flip is still 400 bucks plus tax minus any other discount. idk if it's worth it. Anyone switch from a standard phone to a flip style phone recently?

You can't trade in screens with dead spots. It would not even qualify as cracked

Have you had previous online Google Pay purchases successfully provide the 5% cashback with Discover? The terms seem to explicitly say Google Pay is in store only which would be annoying.
uggh did the same mistake and the transaction wont show up on google pay or identify as google pay on discover.. I couldnt find the terms that said this is instore only.. anyone else who used googlepay with discovery and was able to get the 5%

I don't know about samsung.com, but I've read that it depend on how the merchant handles it. I know eBay's google pay does not code as 5%.

It's stated right in the trade in terms and conditions - dead pixels disqualify it from trade in eligible..

You can literally just tell them on slickdeals there's a $50 reserve code you can get, can you have it?

It's for people who didn't reserve.

But again, it doesn't stack with the generic code anymore and you can only use it once per account.
Still stacks, ordered a fold5 this morning. You have to add the watch 6 separately and I had to keep removing it and readding it until it took both $50 codes

Z fold5 512GB with S22 Ultra trade-in (bought from Amazon for $508, including taxes)
Watch6 Classic 47mm BT (no Trade-in)

Subtotal $777.74
Taxes $117.34
Total Savings $1,682.22
Promo Code1 - LDCBCZ6NOF $50.00 (Samsung rep unique code)
Promo Code2 - Q5B5RESWEB $50.00 (Reserve code)
Bundle Discount $214.99
Promotional Discount(s) $120.00
Trade-In Discount(s) $1,000.00
Education Savings $137.25
Total $895.08

9% OR $80.55 cashback with Paypal (still waiting to receive this...)
12% OR $107.4 cashback with R***ten (only received $93.33, cashback applies to subtotal only without taxes; apparently)
Total ~$707.13

Final Total for Fold5 + Watch6 47mm classic with a default + free black fabric band:
$707.13 + $508 = $1215.13

Note1:
I could not add both promo codes. So, I only applied promo1 and went through the PyPl. On the final Place Order page, I was able to add promo2. Or, as mentioned by @HunterOne, add watch6 first with the reserve promo code and then add phone and apply a unique code. (@HunterOne, thanks for this update.)

Note2: Received another unique promo L7CVCPMD4F from the rep. Try it out.

So I preordered two Flip 5 and two Buds 2 Pro for $200 ($100 for each order). Been debating about the watch 6 as I have a 44mm Watch 5 and a Watch 5 pro and didn't see the need. But been playing around anyway for the usual Samsung mistakes, and after getting an online promo code from the CS rep, I played around again today. Not sure what happened but I got a Flip 5 and a 47mm Watch 6 Classic (with one band) for PAYMENT SUMMARY

$202.81

Subtotal$185.24

Shipping$0.00

Taxes$17.57

Total Savings$1,414.73

Promo Code - Q5B5RESSHOPAPP$50.00

Promo Code - XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX$50.00

Promotional Discount(s)$120.00

TradeIn Discount(s)$900.00

Education Savings$29.75

Bundle Discount$264.98

Total$202.81

The Watch 6 Classic came to $140 without trade in and the Flip 5 was $45 with a Flip 4 trade in, It auto populated the first code, and I didn't need to trade in a watch (now will have 3 lol). Couldn't help but to buy and will return the earlier order if for some reason the deal falls through. Recommend to keep playing if you have the time with the CS code they give you.

Edit: By the way I sued my EDU account (I also have EPP) and ii first got the flip, then continued shopping and customized the watch prior to adding them to cart. I've done it different ways but now it seems if you don't take the bundle discount before adding to cart you lose the $50 promo even if order each separately. Anyway, hipe it helps someone.
