- Get additional $50 off using this pre-order code
- Ask Samsung Chat for a $50 discount code (a unique code that could stack with the pre-order reserve code but seems to have trouble stacking for some people).
- Get additional discounts for education, government, military, business, first responders employees without actually being one by going through Google or just clicking on one of the categories (they don't verify but give you the discount)
Same here not just this time but for the past several years.
Never verified an Educ ID, or asked to.
Used the Educ discount on a few accounts with different email providers, Gmail, Hotmail, Yahoo mail.
Sometimes the Educ discount will not appear but it appeared after adding a phone to the cart, like the Flip 5 this time, and others in the past.
Sometimes there'll be a drop down with boxes to check the appropriate discount, Educ, Military, etc., but most times the Educ discount will appear.
Sometimes it helps to click on the bottom of the page on the offers links:
Offers
Offers
Samsung Rewards
Referral Program
Student & Education Offer Program
It looks not as much as a glitch but as something intentional for the order/sale to go through. - If your birthday is in August and you had it saved in your Samsung profile, you should have gotten or will get an e-mail with an extra $25 off discount which can stack with the above codes
- Add the Samsung Watch 6 separately into the cart and not as a bundle with the phone to get an extra fabric band for free.

Just buy the unlocked version and swap the sim and you're good to go.
This is so dang awesome!!!! Just trying to decide to stay with the 12.4 tablet or go to 14. It has been the best mobile OS tablet as I do not include surface as they are full OS.

1) I have a Samsung account registered with them associated with a personal email of mine. I realize now that I could get an additional Education discount. I have an alumni email address, but also my daughter works at a public school. Would I need to re-associate my account with the [email protected] email address (or possibly create a brand new account with Samsung) first, or can I still somehow make my purchase through my non-.edu email address and just expect that they're going to ask for the .edu email address somewhere later in the process?
2) I don't have a valuable phone to trade in. Just an iPhone Xs (worth $200 on the trade-in). Do you think I should try to scramble (if there's even enough time at this point) to procure some other phone off of ebay or whatever and, if so, what would be the easiest (and most trouble/problem-free) approach I should take?

If you are going to the long route, just to answer your question.
1. You can use your original account and then towards the end, samsung will ask you to vertify through I.D me for your education account

Verizon gets to play the long con this way because after there are two newer generations of phones out, you're definitely going to be noticing that your phone has fallen behind in performance. Support is slower, apps aren't optimized for your phone any more, and things lag and drag. And that's if you don't break it or lose it first. The much better way to go for most people is to play the yearly trade in game where you wait for the best deal from Samsung or Best Buy and pay $200-400 a year to always be using the newest fastest phone.
The Verizon deal is good for people like my husband who hate change and don't often use their phones. He traded in a Note 10 for a 23 Ultra and got $800 for it. His phone barely worked with Android Auto any more by the time he caved. He is definitely keeping it for 3 years.
And IF one leaves T-Mo early before the 24 months, he'll be liable for the remaining trade-in value?
And pay the sales tax on the pre-credit price at time of purchase???
With the instant credit, tax is only on the after trade-in price in almost all states except CA and maybe a couple more.
One can get the phone unlocked to be used with any carrier, instead of getting a carrier locked phone and then wait for the unlock.
It doesn't make much sense.
Is it because of better trade-in values for some phones?
But theFlip4 traded-in has about the same value $1000, but with tax on that vs. $900 and tax only on about $49.

EDIT:
I went back and checked my emails from my last order with Samsung and they did the same thing, but actually did not verify my purchase as being eligible. I ended up having an email chain lasting 3 months that resulted in a "courtesy credit" of the 12%, that somehow got reduced to 1% by Samsung interfering again, but then reinstated back to 12% after another few emails. lol...
