The CDMA service is sometimes unusably slow if there is high volume since you're at the back of the line for access to towers. So I run into that when I go to the local major shopping area on the weekends (live in a small town). But service is otherwise unremarkable.

Also, prices on the Redpocket website have dropped. Those have eSIM as well as free roaming in Canada and Mexico.

They do, I purchased the cheapest plan ($30 200/1000/200) from eBay, they first mail me the sim, and then after activation you can choose switch to esim online, but they will charge like about $3 for esim, if you chat with online agent they may help you switch to esim for free

I had to search specifically for information on CDMA (verizon) because they don't mention it ANYWHERE on their eSIM pages. Finally found: "eSIM is available on the Red Pocket Mobile GSMA and GSMT networks.
eSIM for CDMA is not yet available."
