I am using Red Pocket and signed 1 year plan. Their service is terrible. Very poor IT system and customer support.
Its own official website has another sales: 20GB/month $240/year

I've been using them nearly five years now. Support has been helpful -- most of the time. Sometimes you get someone who has no idea what they're doing but that is typical of any company.

The CDMA service is sometimes unusably slow if there is high volume since you're at the back of the line for access to towers. So I run into that when I go to the local major shopping area on the weekends (live in a small town). But service is otherwise unremarkable.

So if you don't have a 5G phone or it's not available in your area does it become 4G?
Yes, you don't need a 5G phone.

Very expensive data plans in the USA.
In the Russian Federation, I have a plan for 350 rubles (4 dollars per month) - 25 GB of traffic.
Now let's compare my and your s income..

Redpocket is dead outside US, Canada and Mexico. No international roaming or WiFi calling. Sucks as quite a few MVNO operators support it
WiFi calling works without any problems - tried in 4 countries in Europe.Did not work on some phones but working on Samsung Galaxy Ultra 20

Man these guys are smart. Last few years I've done the BlackFriday RedPocket renew plan (IIRC $210 or $220ish for the same plan). 90 days from now is just the start of November, so no bueno. I suppose I could forgo the 3 weeks but so risky to just wait to the last day of the 90 day activation. Anything can go wrong.

Sorry if this was already asked but can I use this SIM in a compatible hotspot device to get hotspot service for the included data?

I have nothing but good things to say about Red Pocket. Been using them for several years now without any issues. The few times I've contacted support have been very pleasant.
Which service???

I got on Red Pocket about 5 years ago because it was decent service for the price. It has since degraded to the point that I am now looking for a new provider. My speculation is when the 3G towers started going offline they lost their contracts with some of the 5G providers. I've also had my subscription lapse a couple of times. Auto-pay was set up. I would usually have to notice it was out and contact them.

Also - hope to all the Gods both holy and Unholy that you never have to deal with their customer support.

Anyhow - yes, something something about "getting" and "paying for"
Service? Which service provider are you talking?

Just be aware, 360 days could potentially end up being 180 days, just a few weeks or even less.
That's what happened with the Sunrocket SD, where 12 months turned into 5 or 6 months.

https://www.slashgear.com/sunrock...ue-176270/

Interestingly enough, it was for the same term, one year, paid up front...

The old "fool me once" saying comes to mind...
That is a really bad example, they worked great for 5 years, then the shut down was handled well and you got full credit.
1. Sunrocket was an early VOIP provider
2. They went out of business in an orderly fashion and allowed transferring your service without losing your phone number.
3. Via Talk offered to transfer your sunrocket service and give you credit for all your remaining months on your sunrocket plan. You lost nothing.

Does anyone know what is the "2G" actual speed when data is all used up for the month?
