Activate phone #1. If you already have a Tracfone account and service and you want to extend it, activate the phone on the existing account and choose Keep My Number. The service term and minutes will combine and phone #1 will have your phone number. Your existing phone will be inactivated.
In the same Tracfone account, activate phone #2 and choose Keep My Number. It will combine the two service plans and phone #2 will have your number and 2 years of service.
Want to use the plan on your own phone? You can buy a SIM card for $1.00 (including shipping). Activate it on the same account and choose Keep Your Number. Now you can use the 2 years on your Samsung Galaxy or Google Pixel instead of the Orbic.
I believe instead of step 3 you can move the service back to your original Tracfone phone if you had one, but I am not certain on this point.

On the website or app, activate the new phone, select keep existing number, and it will transfer over to this phone. Repeat the process again with activate the old sim to transfer it back.
Have done many many times. Seems tracfone has mad it faster now too. The last few was able to transfer out and back within hours.

Another option I seen some have been successfully is chatting with them and ask to combine but I have not tried.

Verizon took over and an already terrible company totally went downhill.
