On Gigabit tier $70 a month with Autopay from checking. Everytime my offer runs out, something or other works out with Xfinity. If one CS doesn't help, disconnect and call again. Doing this since 10+ years. I have Verizon available in my area as well which is tad cheaper on gigabit tier, but I keep Xfinity.

Xfinity pricing is always based on the fact how much people can spend in their service area + how many other competitors are there. So lot of YMMV.

Yes, it only means they lock you into that price for 2 years, without risk of increase. You can cancel anytime. If a better deal came along, I could switch to it I presume.

This deal isn't bad considering their normal prices, but just an FYI that there was a 400mbps $30/mo for 24 months deal about 6 months ago that I took advantage of. A better deal will probably come around soon.

Not a good deal! I got mine last year, 800Mbps down, 200 Up for $50/month with auto pay. 400Mbps is a joke if you have multiple smart devices and everyone is streaming. Watch out for that 1.2GB usage /month limitation LOL.

Mine expires in a week. I checked and it seems 110 early termination fee,if you cancel when a year is left. Then it lowers each month,so say if you have three months left it probably would be 30$, as per 10$ a month. If you are staying with them, they won't charge early termination fee, for example doing upgrade to this promo.

Don't get sucked in with this company. Their customer service is horrifying You can't even talk to a real person until you go through insane amount of automation. And then, when you do talk to someone you find out, they can't help you.

I have the 800Mbps plan. In my account, it states I have 100Mbps upload. However, I'm only seeing 20-25Mbps upload. I'm using my own modem. Does this mean I need to use Xfinity's modem to get 100Mbps upload?

It's not in the confirmation. The term is 24 months which is listed along with all other plans. I selected the 1Gb. As others said, if you want unlimited, gotta use Xfinity's equipment. It's free during the 24 months term. This way, I don't have to worry about upgrading my modem and router to take advantage of faster speed. If you use your own equipment, there is a data cap.

I believe so but I only have a few months left. Taken account the prorated charge, it's worth it for me because of unlimited, free equipment usage, free Peacock, and faster speed. Now if you are just into your contract like say 3 months, then you will pay a higher termination fee after it's prorated. I believe there is a way around that by calling. Yeah, you gotta talk to a rep and ask if you can just roll your existing plan over to one you want now and renew the 24 months agreement under the new plan. I've done that in the past and it worked. Maybe I was lucky? Doesn't hurt to try.

They're actually starting to enable mid split for customer owned modems, thankfully.

If they get mid split deployed more broadly and get rid of the farking data caps it would actually be a fairly solid service, now that they're being forced to compete by the market.
