Been trying with the coupon. Doesnt work for me after putting in the code and hit place order.

edit:
weird. it actually went thru when i signed in using my old acct. using new email didnt work.

Yes after 60days TracFone has a pretty easy unlock rules so when you get the phone ask for unlock you'll get a text message saying you asked for unlock and 60days later it can be unlocked

Would this work with StraightTalk? TracFone has some sort of relationship with them I think.

Prior to the Verizon buy out it would work fine. I assume it would still since the whole Tracfone umbrella was bought by Verizon.

You may have to get on a online chat in order to change the "branding" from Tracfone to straight talk though, otherwise regardless of doing the 60 days or not you might not be ablet o unlock after.

I saw a couple reddit threads saying something very similar.

I wonder whether it's worth buying as a backup. I still have brand new backup phones from 2021 and 2019. Probably should stop buying backups I never use.
