Times like these I wish there was a brickseek for costco, my wife was just pining over a yeti the other day but agreed they're too expensive.

Update from San Francisco Bay Area: I called two stores and was told the same thing, that no store in the Bay Area has this item in stock and that it is "a deleted item."

You can call your local Costco store, press 1 to speak with their administrative staff, and simply say, "Can you do a stock and price check? I have the item number." The item number for this item is 1505634, as displayed on the product page.

I have been doing this at least a few times per month for over a decade at multiple stores, and have never had an issue.

I've called all the Costco locations in my area (SE Wisconsin), and they all say the item is shown as deleted. I did see them at my local warehouse 3 weeks ago for $100, but have since been gone.

Hmmmmmmmm… you sure about that? I thought it was that prices ending in 7 and/or with an asterisk on the tag are on sale and have been discontinued. Prices ending in 00 are manager special markdowns and are the lowest price that they'll ever be.

I saw it for $70 yesterday in socal but the no wheels makes it hard. I opted for a different wheeled 55 qt cooler and that is heavy just rolling it when it is full. Adding a 3rd party wheel kit would be an option for this and at $50 seems like a steal for a roto molded esp if you need cooler performance.

We bought this at $100 and have used it a half dozen times for camping. I love it, as usual YMMV on ice retention but it's big enough for a family of 5 for at least 2-3 nights camping.
