While it's nice that this is 48V and has hydraulic disc brakes, everyone should be aware that this is a class 1 eBike [bikexchange.com] and therefore doesn't have a throttle (I have a class 2 and I use the throttle quite a bit when I get tired).
I tried this bike out and ended up returning it and getting a lectric 2.0 becuase it was cheaper. Turns out this bike is better in every way than the lectric xp for me. There was zero delay in the throttle and brakes were great (both big issues with the lectric xp), the only issue was the top gear needed to be smaller tooth as you hit the top speed and only use the lower gears when going uphill. I believe a replacement can be found online for cheap and when I spoke to REI they said it wouldn't void the warranty. For this price, I would choose this bike. The wheel size and rack are great, its easy to throw this bike into the back of a suv and no need to fold it. REI has an awesome return policy so I highly suggest picking it up and seeing if you like it.
It's a bicycle made for pedaling with an electric boost, not something to just sit on and push the throttle. It also tops out, unless you pedal real hard, at a relatively safe and reasonable 20mph so this bike will be allowed on most bike paths (which often prohibit class 2 or class 3 vehicles).

Doesn't look to bad given it's designed for lugging stuff.

I agree. Utilitarian design...this bije is designed to help you to run errands, not "look cool", and no fluff, honest design is in turn...pretty cool.

I'd take this over the BS fairings on a Bianci Olter for example...even tho the rest of that fluff "hyperbike" does look ๐Ÿ˜Ž

it is like everything else: the sportscar or race bike you fixate over half if your day, but you would enjoy an hour a week vs a minivan that offers sublime by comparison comfort and usable space, but you think is "lame"...

Is it possible to put Bafang mid drive on this bike? and probably use the existing battery for the mid drive

Maybe it is, but you could run into clearance issues as the bafang won't be able to be angled upwards on that frame? You will also need to re-lace the rear wheel to a conventional hub or buy a new rear wheel w/o the motor.

True. That would be a bunch of troubles. Thanks for your input

This frame reminds me of the ebikes all the delivery people use in NYC. Built like a tank. Might be worth buying it and then replacing that hub motor to a more powerful one.

Yes, this is an ebike not a moped. This is built with quality components and it's sold by reputable brick and mortar store that will service the bike as necessary unlike the cheap Chinese junk you bought. No high end ebike manufacturers (Riese & Mรผller, Gazelle, Tern, Trek, Cube, etc.) offer a throttle. That's a feature of cheap ebikes.
