Darn. Just bought two cans at almost $15 each last week and haven't used them yet but they're non-returnable, apparently. Oh well...a TU, still!

Is this better than other coil cleaners that are cheaper? There's a 2 pack for $13 at Lowes by purafilter.

That stuff is junk imo. Bought those and didn't really foam up. These are much better

For cleaning outside coils, just use garden hose water. Make sure unit power is off like pulling the disconnect or flipping breaker. If possible wash from inside out if you can maneuver the fan. If that's too much trouble just simply wash outside top to bottom. Don't spray at angle or even use jet settings as that may bend fins.

It's really as simple as hosing off top to bottom with light pressure hose. Also some new coated fins like the blue tint Bosch fins can react poorly with chemicals.

You can also use simple green on the coils and rinse with the garden hose

Original simple green damages aluminum. They have two new formulations, Pro HD and Extreme which appear to be aluminum safe. This was a big issue in aviation!

Some comments online suggest 409 instead because simple green can be harmful to aluminum? Anyone have experience using 409?

The cake came out odd. Had a very vinegar acid taste.

It is but get the lubegard 96030 first for the hose attachment. Then it will attach to cheaper cans like this one if you want to do a second cleaning.
