Not a gaming laptop, by the way.

Just pointing out the facts. I play league of legends on a non-gaming laptop with 90hz screen and just the Iris Xe iGPU. I rather not have a 60hz display. Not saying this is a bad deal, it's not for me since you can play games on a computer that is not a gaming laptop.

BTW, the i9 brother to this is not a gaming laptop and has a 120hz screen.

Anyways, I agree it's not targeted as a top end gaming laptop. I know some architects that would love this $800 laptop for work (portability, modeling, rendering).
The whole VivoBook 15 OLED lineup, whether Intel or AMD, have two OLED display options, one is this 1080p 60Hz OED with the lower tier model and another is 2880x1620 120Hz OLED which is available in the upper end models in the series. There are Ryzen based models also with that 120Hz display option and Intel based models with 60 Hz option. 120Hzx model just costs higher for similar internals.

60hz doesn't even feel good in office and you feel the lag and jump whenever you move mouse
I just switched my monitor to 60hz and my boss immediately fired me

People complain about the battery life but the real deal breaker is the 16GB maximum according to ASUS.
Has anyone bought this and put in something larger than 8GB in the second slot?

How does this "Creator" model fit in with the Vivobook lineup? Very hard to figure out ASUS.

We have a Vivobook Pro which is very similar but looks fancier and has the 120Hz screen.

That deal is better. Only real benefit of this over that is that this has an expandable RAM slot.

I picked up my zenbook a few days ago and I love it. Screen is fantastic, and the right size for me. It's built well and very fast. It'll be a great machine to collect dust with 😆

What office work are you doing where you would notice it? The only time I ever notice is when scrolling a lot… I mean yeah if your work is mostly scrolling and moving stuff around the screen? Otherwise this comment is laughable

16GB is not maximum supported but offered for this laptop and that is true for a very very long time. You can put a 32GB stick on that and have 40GB total. There is no deal breaker on that aspect. Also, since DDR5 Ram modules have two Channels per DIMM, the performance of asymetric dual channel configuration is almost same as a pure dual channel.

ASUS in numerous places says that, for example, "System Memory RAM Expandable To: 16 gigabytes."
Have you or anyone else on this forum actually purchased this laptop and replaced the SODIMM with a larger one?
