I take we are talking TCL Q8 and not Hisense U8.
Advantage of the Q7 over 5 series. Brighter (at 1000 nits, I think the 5 was 500-600 nits), which means better HDR and viewing in bright or reflective room. More dimming zones 200+, than 5 series (35+) means deeper blacks, more contrast and less blooming. Also 120 hz for smoother frames/motion, especially in sports & video games.
Advantage of the Q8, even brighter at 2000 nits, mini led and insane 2300+ local dimming zones, getting much closer to OLED (still can't beat it's black and color accuracy) but with greater brightness to handle challenging rooms.

This might be a dumb question but I read that 120hz helps with sports. I use an antenna to get football over the air, how does the 120 hz help with that if it doesn't use hdmi? Also do these broadcasts even support that?

Rtings review says Q7 is a good TV with quirks, and on the margin better than U7H, though they haven't yet reviewed U7K. To my knowledge the only head to head with U7K is the FOMO youtube, which is worth a view before buy.
