Model: BOSCH MS4034 Drilling and Driving Set (34-Piece) , Black
Deal HistoryÂ
Deal History includes data from multiple reputable stores, such as Best Buy, Target, and Walmart. The lowest price among stores for a given day is selected as the "Sale Price".
Sale Price does not include sale prices at Amazon unless a deal was posted by a community member.
These are fairly comprehensive for a compact set, and covers most bases for small fixture home installation. I often recommend this set for any homeowner/ diy-er who doesn't know what drill accessories to start with.
However, this is not a slick deal. The 34-piece set used to go on sale for $5-6 pre-pandemic, so 200% increase on the sale price doesn't exactly track with inflation.
This price is fine for everyday but nothing to jump on.

Based on recent history, I would agree this is not necessarily a "slick" deal however you're not getting ripped off either. I also agree that the days of sub-$12 on this are over...much like the $20 tank of gas.
Lol @ whoever downvoted you... you're right. The last time it was >14.98 on amazon for more than a very brief period was back in 2020.
I got the 41pc version of this set back in 2017 (for $17, FWIW), these are a decent enough set for beginners - the countersink & socket adapter are the best parts imo, but the masonry bits are nearly worthless - don't expect them to last more than a couple holes.
I got four of these at around $5, after using one the rest are getting sold for probably $5 at a garage sale. They are not very good. Some decent milwaukee kits go on sale regularly for around $20, definitely worth the difference.

It's unlikely you will ever see most items go back to pre-pandemic prices.
Bosch bits I find to be low quality. You get the same stuff from Walmart's in house brands.
Other than the super trendy X on top...... nothing about this makes it a slick deal.
Prices from many years ago no longer apply, keep realistic expectations. If it's the lowest price in 12 months, it's slick... 20 years ago I bought a gallon of gas for $1 we can't cling onto the past, it's not coming around again.

I decided to stop buying junk bits. Yes you can buy 8 or 9 cheap bit sets for the price of one good bit set, but when the cheap bit ruins the piece you're working on...it gets expensive.
So I bought a $100 bit 29 piece set on amazon made in Milwaukee by an American company called Viking. Blows any shitty Chinese set out of the water!
