The only drawback that will be obvious is when you have them on and tap on them, or adjust the volume, or mute the mic the set will ping and sound hollow inside. Unless you are constantly touching and fiddling with them, or headbanging like a mad man it shouldn't be a major problem. Another small note is the pleather earpads. (imo) these will be the first item to go. Personally I do not like pleather earpads in general. However, the earpads are removable and therefore replaceable. Unless these will be your daily driver with heavy use, they should last long enough to satisfy the cost.
Definitely not worth the list price of $40; would never buy at this price.
But, it's a tough sell with the HyperX Cloud currently/recently being $19.99.
Worst case, you really hate them and send them back.
I actually bought these on Woot! A few months back for a cheap backup set, ended up giving them to a buddy. He says they're actually pretty good.
