Yes it does. The method to waking up the Switch is strange, though. The controller has to be in Bluetooth mode, you wake the controller by either taking it off the dock or pushing the button on the face of the controller, and then you shake it until the Switch wakes up. No, really.

My initial problem with this was that 8bitdo removed the function of switchable wireless profiles that was a feature in previous models like the sn30. Besides the ability to connect to multiple devices more easily this allows a pc to view the controller as a switch controller instead of an xbox controller (for use of gyro or compatibility with certain emulators). FIX: it's not a publicly announced on their site or faq, but you can google a beta firmware update that adds this functionality back to the ultimate controller.

I asked a neighbor with prime to grab this for me. It's a great controller for the switch. It doesn't work with amibos but that's not an issue for me.

I like this controller and it's nice if you want to use it for gyro, but it needs to be in BT mode for that from what I can tell on mine. I saw a workaround to use gyro on 2.4ghz but it didn't work for me. Xinput is fine but basically an Xbox controller with the wrong button layout. Xbox style buttons available on their website but the shipping kills it.
