And that's precisely why they dont sell the deals online. They don't want a customer base that only buys deals, and bean counters have figured out getting people in a physical location gets people to buy more stuff that isn't on sale. You think they're making money on this? I wouldnt be half surprised if they're losing money

These doorbusters are designed to get your butts in the store. I picked up a deal last weekend, but it took every ounce of my will power to resist the temptation to roll around in the PC section. I was like a kid in a candy store! Smilie

I mean the 970 EVO Plus was expected to start dropping soon because all the near maxed out speeds Gen 4 NVMe (980 Pro, SN850X, etc...) also dropped in price and so there was no point (or incentive) in getting a 970 EVO Plus for more than $0.03 per GB and at basically the same price as the 980 Pro or SN850X.

How does this compare to the Crucial P3 for $36? Reviews are saying the P3 is a wee bit faster.

970 EVO Plus is the best Gen 3 NVMe it's only outclassed by Gen 4 NVMEs with DRAM.

Still computing if it is worth a 500m drive.
500 miles cost 20 gal gas, and will cost you $100.

Depending on your situation, a better deal might be the 2TB 980 Pro for 84.99 after the $25 off $100 coupon.
