And that's precisely why they dont sell the deals online. They don't want a customer base that only buys deals, and bean counters have figured out getting people in a physical location gets people to buy more stuff that isn't on sale. You think they're making money on this? I wouldnt be half surprised if they're losing money

They must have access into the phone system registries. I was trying to do something recently that required a phone number and it wouldn't accept any number that was VOIPish including an Ooma number (which was originally advertised to be a landline substitute) and a number that was originally a landline number but had been ported so it seems it is very comprehensive.

It really sucks because in modern times, VOIP is becoming increasingly prevalent and I *do not* want to give out my mobile phone number for some things because I am not interested in spam calls. I'm actually considering signing up for a month of prepaid service just to register with one thing. That would take the value out of something like this deal though (not that I have a Microcenter nearby anyway).

I signed up for the new customer $25 off $100 deal with a new account, new email and new phone number and never got the coupon. Emailed customer service twice and they didn't respond either time.

Don't see the point of doing new customers only. We are computer nerds ffs, you really think we are just gonna send this deal to all our "friends"?! All you want is a new phone number and email to market to that equals ZER0

I had my keys in hand ready to walk out the door but my number and my "friends" number already exist…was gonna pick up a WiFi card and SD card and probably a bunch of other stupid s&$? I don't need but better deals on amazon for those so….
