How are the sizing on these compared to Nike? I assume we can return/exchange discounted shoes at REI?
If you are not a member there is a small return charge. Just refuse package if you change your mind.

These run narrow. I would also recommend thicker socks that cover the ankle or higher.

I tried these when they first came out and returned them because I didn't love them (at regular price). At $60, these are a steal! If I wasn't so lazy, I'd buy several pairs and re-sell them. In for 2!

How are people refusing? Lol, by the time I get a delivery notification, the driver is already in the next town...they just toss the box and zoom, off to the next delivery!

Is carbon plate running shoes good for general walking shoes?
No, the carbon plate to my knowledge is only good for running, if you're not running faster than 7 min mile pace, a carbon plate isn't doing a whole lot for you. I run @ a 6-8 min pace depending on the run and have some Endorphin Pros and Vaporfly 2s and wonder how much they really help lol.

Do these include a yearly sponsorship payment for advertising their brand?

I'm sure they're great running shoes but that logo is out of control.
Hoka has always been like that. You either hate it or love it.

I just started running and can run for about a mile before my knees hurt. I run slow for a mile and mostly walk fast in my 4-5 miles that currently manage. Will these help with the knee pain to run for a longer time?
I walk fast and mix it with short burst steps and long fast steps, so will they be good for fast walking?

I'm looking for cushioning and comfort mainly. I currently have an Ultraboost shoe, a Saucony Kinvara and a Adidas Bounce shoe that I alternate daily. I was also looking into getting a Saucony Ride on sale for 40 bucks from DSW. Not sure which would be better for my purpose.

I'm confused, their site says that nonmembers have 90 days to return item for a full refund

So what's a good pair of Hoka shoes for walking only. I don't run since I have hip issues. I love my New Balance foams but wouldn't mind trying a pair of Hokas for $60. Thanks.

Clifton/Bondi are great. If you are an over pronator (ankles/foot roll inward) Gaviota is a good style to try!

Look for something with a zero heel drop. These have 5mm. I believe Kinvaras have 4mm, which is actually pretty good.
