I do feel like $10 is the new normal for a deal for a physical media 4k UHD movie, although I don't like the trend. This is higher than I am willing to pay, especially for older movies.

And it's not even old. The new transfer wasn't done in the 1990s.

I think this is a good deal at $10 but I wouldn't buy it from Best Buy. They seem to be full embracing the strategy of if we can't beat Amazon, let's really suck. I recently discovered they do not allow returns on physical videos including defective videos. That's just sleazy.

I have everything downloaded to my tablets, shows, movies, that's how I spend my time on the airplanes. I haven't bought a physical CD or Bluray in more than ten years. I guess everybody rolls differently lol

The recent streaming purge debacle and rebranding of apps like Max (and sell-off of content like Westworld which people had assumed would always have a home on anything associated with HBO) has pushed a lot of former physical media owners back into the world of buying discs.

I don't buy them for all the movies I like, but if a decent sale like this pops up AND it includes the digital code, I figure it's a 2-for-1 of sorts. That way I can stream the digital version whenever I want from Vudu etc., but if anything similar ever happened with those sites (like a decade from now they no longer exist or titles start getting pulled for licensing issues), then at least I still have the physical copy as a back-up. Plus, the discs will always be higher quality than streaming; I have a 77" Sony OLED, and although 4k digital streams look fantastic, when I pop in a Dolby Vision supported disc, you can definitely tell it's even higher quality.
