16" i7 1260P/16gb/1TB 2560x1600 3.26lb is $1099 @ Costco and the 15.6" i5 1240P/16gb/512mb 1920x1080 2.54lb is $799.

Both are 300-nits, but I've heard less than spectacular things about the LG touchscreens, so I'm reluctant to get either one. Anyone have experience with this particular unit?

Safer to try at Costco than BuyDig for return purposes?

90-day returns from Costco so good thinking. This is a prime example of why I always include the source in the title. For what shows before you click into the threads. Iconian won't change though. Still great deal if you are okay with Buydig as your source. I am not. Only Costco for me for laptops. Maybe others like eBay when extended warranty is included on something. Most good sellers accept and pay shipping for returns within 30 days.

As long as you are questioning your post. Maybe this instead? https://urlhasbeenblocked/3KsCZTp

Better GPU, Better brightness. Memory can be upgraded (not sure about the LG). But ASUS brand is one pound heavier and has a lesser battery.

FYI: I'm typing this on a 6-year-old Gram 17 from Costco. It's wonderful but I would benefit from an upgrade.

Spent a day with the 16" Gram, screen just not very bright. It's glossy and reflective so depends on your eyes

I've been looking for a lightweight 13th gen laptop with a -bright- screen.

This review says they tested 524 nits: https://reviewed.usatoday.com/lap...023-review
(I know, USA today isn't exactly the best tech review site)

The specs say 350 nits: https://www.lg.com/global/busines...lg-17zb90r

I know the graphics are different, but wouldn't the display be the same?

Have had the 16 inch for over a year now and love it. It's the perfect size and weight for travel and being able to work on it from home too. 17 is a bit too heavy and does not fit nicely in a 15 inch laptop pouch

It's been sold out for quite some time now

Edit: Nevermind. Was thinking of the 1360 32gb 1tb hot deal from last month. That's been OOS

Bought the 16 inch for myself and 17 inch for my friend, I personally prefer the 16 inch as I tested both myself and the 17 inch is too big to carry out.

Just an FYI that the 16" comes with Dual SSD slots, while the 17" appears to be limited to just one slot.

Yep these LG touchscreens are horrible. Not very bright and I hope you like glares because these LGs screens have pretty bad reflections every angle you stare at it.

Do folks really use touchscreens on laptops? It just seems so awkward when you have a full keyboard and trackpad at the ready.
