The better deal is to pay $100 more and get AppleCare+

I bought it last week and had to return it since the mac kept restarting on its own. The return and replacement process is a hassle . Still going through it

Got one for $2499 without Apple Care from the same deal a month ago. I'd suggest pay the additional $100 for the Apple Care. The Apple Care option was not offered at the time of my purchase nor did the customer support was able to add it later.

The machine is a beast. A good balance on mobility and performance.

I got this for the same price 2 months ago. Definitely make sure to get the bundle deal with the Apple care plus as after you buy you will have to pay full 279 price. The laptop itself runs great minus the new final cut pro update that crashes randomly. I will say this 14" does run a bit hot when editing but that's due to the smaller size. The only thing that was different than buying from apple directly is when I unboxed it the battery was dead because it was sitting for so long so just keep that in mind. If you're between this or 16" I wouldn't worry to much about screen size because this screen is a lot bigger than it seems, your biggest thing would be battery life and it runs slightly cooler for the 16" but the 16" is massive. 14" perfect size imo.

How is the battery life?

Thank You.

If you're not editing video the battery life is solid, I would Say about 8-12 hours of you're streaming video and doing other tasks. For 4k editing I did a edit that took me about 3-4 hours of editing and 4 exports (longest video was 25 minutes long) and it got to like 30% or so after about 6 hours of it being unplugged. Keep in mind I had low performance mode on since it was unplugged by mistake so with it off I could see a need for me to charge it to keep it from dying.

On my Intel MacBook pro it 100% would have died half way through so it's a massive improvement. I just didn't expect for it to get as warm as it did tbh but again it's a smaller chassis so it's expected.
