+298 Deal Score

This is not as good as the BONUS400 from 3 years ago, but this is the best offer we have seen from Capital One to open a 360 checking account.

Earn $350 with 360 Checking

Update (10/29/23): This has been shortened to end on 10/30/23.

Open with code BONUS350 by January 9, 2024 and complete the steps below.

1. Open 360 Checking
Open a new account by January 9, 2024 using the promo code BONUS350.

2. Get direct deposits
Set up and receive at least 2 direct deposits, each of $250 or more, within 75 days of account opening.

3. Bonus time
Your $350 bonus will be deposited into your new account after you complete these steps. See footnotes for timing.

https://www.capitalone.com/bank/bonus350/

Here's the full scoop on how to earn your $350 bonus:

Open a 360 Checking account between 12:00 a.m. ET on August 2, 2023 and 11:59 p.m. ET on January 9, 2024. When you open your account, ensure you enter in the promotional code BONUS350 in the Promo Code box.

Set up and receive at least 2 qualifying direct deposits each of $250 or more to your 360 Checking account within 75 days of account opening. A Qualifying Direct Deposit is a regular periodic payment, such as salary, pension, government payments (for example, Social Security), or other monthly income that occurs as an Automated Clearing House (ACH) or Real-Time Payment network credit from your employer or an outside institution. ACH credits or fund transfers initiated via the Capital One website or mobile app and wires are not considered a Qualifying Direct Deposit.

When will I get my bonus?
Your bonus will be deposited into your account within 60 days after you have completed the requirements above. This 60-day period begins the day after your second Qualifying Direct Deposit has been posted to your account.

This account is subject to approval. This offer cannot be combined with any other 360 Checking account opening offers. Only one promotional code is accepted per account. Bonus is only valid for one new 360 Checking account. The amount of your bonus will be reported on IRS form 1099-INT to the IRS (and your state revenue authority, if required).

If you have or had an open 360 Checking, Simply Checking, Total Control Checking or Money Teen Checking account as a primary or secondary account holder with Capital One on or after January 1, 2021, you will be ineligible for the bonus. If your account is in default, closed or suspended, or otherwise not in good standing, you will not receive the bonus.
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

Yeah I noticed online some people said that Chase and Charles Schwab, Fidelity and Ally should work as well so this should be an easy Direct Deposit.

So we can just send money from chase to this and we should get the 350$?

If you travel abroad this is the best debit card I found. No ATM fees on their own (only from the ATM itself) and no foreign transaction fee, so you just need to find which ATM has no/low fees in that country. I've used it successfully in Mexico (citi, $1), Japan (7-eleven, no fee) and Spain (caixa, no fee)

A schwab checking account refunds you and ATM fee that's charged to you by the ATM.

Just signed up. I'm already a CapitalOne credit card holder so the account opening information was all pre-populated. Easy-peasy!

I was looking for a no-fee "burner" checking account to use for my T-Mobile auto-pay method. I didn't want to give T-Mo unfettered access to my real bank account just so they can lose it in another security breach. So, this is perfect timing and the $350 bonus is a nice cherry on top! Thanks, OP!

Same. Having the CC made signing up easy. Just few clicks and done. I had signed up for TD $200 promo as the Tmobile burner acct last month, but this is better and requires no minimum.

When you guys pushed a transfer from another bank did the Transaction Type in Capital One activity show up as direct deposit or transfer? If it says transfer I doubt it is going to count.

Ally not only doesn't charge an ATM fee or foreign transaction fee, but will reimburse what the ATM company charges. So you end up paying no fees regardless of what ATM you use.

I've done it with other checking account offers like this one from my Chase account. I've linked the checking account like Capital One to my chase account and then initiated a "push" transfer from my Chase account instead of initiating the transfer from Capital One to "pull" the funds over. You have to choose a slow transfer which Chase calls a standard transfer instead of a real time transfer. The slow transfer is considered an ACH transfer to the receiving bank. I've gotten bonuses from 5th 3rd and Wells Fargo doing it this way. Hope this helps!
Appreciate the info! I just opened a 360 acct and then added it as an External Acct over at Chase then transferred funds via the Standard Transfer method.

Did you use Discover Savings to do it? I read that Discover Savings counts as ACH

This bank is a joke.

Wife applied, was approved. Then wasn't able to sign in - they claim the phone number is invalid. Locked. Called to unlock, verified some info, ok. Overnight got an email it's been locked again. She's had to send a copy of her ID 5 times now. Their support is awful and unintelligible on the phone from whatever third world phone system they're using. At this point, I think it's not worth the bonus.

Probable dumb question alert incoming. Apologies in advance.

Does anyone know if the first transfer needs to stay in the new Capital One account before you initiate the 2nd?......Or if you could transfer $250 from Chase savings (as an example), send the $250 back again to Chase....then send the $250 back as a second transfer to Capital One.

I am aware that may sound weird but there's a method behind my weird question.

I dont think chase transfer qualifies.
You need to have direct deposit from a company
