Thanks for sharing. It doesn't look like a good option for non pro M1/ M2 Macs

That's not remotely true for a vast majority of the world

Okay, but -- honest question -- how often in your life... in real-world computer usage even 5 years from now -- is a 2.5gb connection really gonna be practically more useful than a 1gb connection?

Like... how many sites will let you download anything fast enough to even saturate a 1gb connection?!

The reviews are mixed, a few people mentioned the usb goes out after a while, wonder why anker just dropped the price like this for a new released product,

what exactly makes this so expensive compared to a normal thunderbolt dock?

Not compatible with apple silicon, probably why it's discounted so much when that's exactly the demographic who would buy it.

I'm really tired of these TB3/4/USB4 docks, there's always something incompatible with some OS/Chip…All I really want is just a dock with 65W charging and 4k60fps, and a couple of USB 2/3 for peripherals, and can work the same for windows and macos, none of the ones I tested does that...

To be clear, it is compatible with apple silicon. The issue is that vanilla M1 and M2 chips (i.e., not Pro / Max / Ultra) only support a single external monitor.

So if you have an M2 MacBook air, this dock can still only give you one external monitor. If you have a 16 inch M1 or M2 MacBook Pro, it should be able to drive two monitors via HDMI / DisplayPort
