Considering that 122 of the 320 are just phillips and such bits, the Pittsburgh set may be a better value.

Toolset looks like a steal. I paid double for a Harbor Freight 301 set (even after coupon).

Truth. This is all loose tools, no case. Not a deal.

Not the same set or price as it has fewer pieces and costs $10 more but https://www.lowes.com/pd/Kobalt-2...5014204839 is $99 and includes a huge amount of the same stuff and comes in the 3 drawer hard case.

I bought a "deal" on husky similar to this - same thing no box. what a nightmare. Wish I could go back in time.

After years and years of thinking about possibly maybily buying a new gazillion-piece socket set for car stuff, the more closely I looked at the set contents during a Slickdeal drought, the more my spidey-senses tingled - even at the famous Dewalt 192-piece - until at last, I finally bought separate 1/4" (4-14mm) and 3/8" (6-24mm) sets, metric only, standard/deep. I couldn't be happier that I am not dragging around an extra 10+ pounds of steel I don't need when I pop out to the driveway to get my UV and exfoliation, and I can still reach from under the car to switch from 12mm to 14mm without looking. I paid more or less regular price, and it wasn't all that much more than one of these deals. The 1/4" set wasn't strictly necessary (yet), but is magic in the engine bay. I'm a big fan of wrenches but don't need a blow-molded case for them.

These do still have their place when you want something in the trunk for "just in case" - the skips and equivalent sizes will make more sense then - and of course SAE tools still have applications.

I seem to recall this set or a very similar one went down to ~$40 years ago. It was awesome to start a new tool collection as I had hardly anything. But I spent a good amount of money on organization for all the stuff.

The Kobalt tools are solid. No issues doing fairly major mechanical work on multiple vehicles. I've used the socket on my impact driver with zero issues.

Just sucks when they come with no case or drawer compartments.

You're better off buying the Kits with only sockets and ratchets. The rest is filler
