OTOH, I bought a few ASEs back in the early part of the century (for $6-8) as gifts for clients/colleagues who had kids (Hey, cool , a silver dollar - oh, look, it's their birth year!) Had 7-8 left over and I traded them two years ago to some guy in WV for pair of 120CF bottles of Argon and CO2 mix, which was a friggin bargain for me since AirGas wanted north of $300 a piece. So I guess sometimes it pays off.
Many individual investors end up joining private groups (ie Facebook, Reddit, etc) to sell/trade.
