Creality has the Sonic Pad on sale for $124 with the
code ZKSP15N (instead of $159).
The Sonic Pad will work with just about any 3D printer on which the Klipper firmware can be installed.
Why would you want to use one?
Klipper allows you to print faster and with better quality using features like resonance compensation, which reduces ringing artifacts on 3D prints and allows for higher acceleration values.
The acceleration sensor required for resonance compensation is included with the Sonic Pad.
It can also be used to control up to four 3D printers connected to the Sonic Pad via the web interface.
Profiles for the most common Creality printers are preconfigured. You can also import a printer.cfg file for any other printer.
Recently the source code for the Sonic Pad was released. There are also alternative operating systems for it now, for example there's a version of Debian for it on GitHub.
