I ordered this before. Last time they were grey market keys. You are not able to register them via your Microsoft account. Here are the instructions they provided on how to install: https://forums.woot.com/t/microso...1426069/81
Since this is sold by woot (aka Amazon), hoping this to be a legitimate license that's not similar to those sold by StackSocial.
whats wrong with stacksocial? i dont mind paying there if i could save another $15 per license.
all employees hate the 365 version. things are slowed down with the internet sync. the same thing with acrobat dc. they got uglier gui with slower internet integration.
The $35 license I got from StackSocial worked fine for me. Did I miss something?

I bought a StackSocial license just last month and it worked for me. Did you have an issue?
I read if you reinstall the windows MS office is gone, you'd need buy another license key.

Woot is owned by Amazon,
but the products sold on woot are often from undisclosed 3rd party sellers.
There simply are not legit keys at this price. Authorized retailers never have bad keys. All these stories of people getting a key that doesn't work...sketchy seller using a volume license key against the terms.
While stacksocial/CD keys/Woot etc will give you a refund or another code or whatever...it's still an absolute giveaway that it's grey market. the unusual installation method is another clear sign it's a volume license.
You can still go grey market route, but don't be fooled into thinking this is any more legit/authorized than the random eBay /Key websites. and usually those others are a lot cheaper elsewhere.

they should disclose their sellers. if they dont, they are 100% responsible for whats being sold. period.
just like any flea market, the owner/landlord will be responsible for any fake/counterfeit items being displayed and sold there. yes, they will catch the seller, but they will also go after the shop owner too.

That's a misconception that is confusing the model that OEM windows keys used to do, and that a handful of software purchases do, with how these license keys work.
The process here is one active device per license, just like your Microsoft app store purchases can be used across up to 10 different registered windows devices.
The (two) office keys I got from stacksocial were registered to my Microsoft account and I can activate either on a new device, as long as I de activate it on the former (which you can do online anyway).

I just received the license key from Woot, unable to register it to my MS account. Requesting a refund now!
