The cpu on the A series just can't compete under load. Once you open 5+ apps at once, you start reaching the top end of this phone.
And lastly, if you ever decide to do a samsung trade-in with the A series, they offer shit in compensation. The S series holds it's value. Just some things to consider.
Understand that 'factory unlocked' and 'cell provider unlocked' are not using the same hardware. For instance, if you unlock your A54 on ATT, you can't use Verizon bands. And if you are on a mvno, it's even more hardware neutered.
Factory unlocked, as in this post, is where you want to be. Signified with a U or U1(USA) at the end of the model number.

When my mother got her pacemaker, I had to get her a new phone, and I got her this model.
Her pacemaker uses a constant contact type of app and it would kill the battery in 2 to 3 hours.
Add in the 2 to 3 hour charge time, we quickly realized that this phone was not going to do well.
Got her a new S21 and that did the trick. (bigger battery and able to toggle off so much more unnecessary stuff) Battery lasts 12 to 14 hours, although it's my mom. No gaming or really much of anything beyond phone calls and playing 10-10.

Or $189 from eBay upon quick glance. I have no idea about this seller, but it seems the s21 could be a better deal, IMO.

About $313 for new from eBay, unless u want open box.

Edit:
No manufacturers warranty, no sim card. Does have the Allstate protection for $45.
Given this info, I'm skipping the eBay deal.

The A54 is a tiny bit under S10 levels of performance.
Benchmarks don't take into account that newer chipsets tend to be more power efficient. In addition, other factors such as higher screen refresh rates, a higher input sample rate, and more RAM might make a device feel faster in daily use.
Good catch.
Read closer. It has no manufacturers warranty. It's in the details.

I saw "brand new" and quit reading.
Can you tell that I'm not a ebay shopper? lol.
It does say no sim card, no warranty, etc.
So ridiculous that it's the CHEAPER phones with the basic features I actually want.
Yes, if you want the premium line, the last one with a microsd card slot is the Note20 ultra. You can find a used one for under $400.
I have one and I plan on keeping it as long as possible.

Same here, looking to replace the battery soon. Hopefully, we get one more android update.
