I'm not looking for something stylish, more rugged. I have a disconnect to what these things should cost. I usually look for jansport because I had them in the 90s growing up. They cost $60 now?! I am looking for one for a laptop bag. Somewhere I can shove all my electronic accoutrement. I have one backpack setup for the shooting range, and another is full of my fishing boxes ready to sling on my kayak seat back. What is a solid backpack brand?

Have you tried the Embark brand posted? They look nice and have other styles too.

This backpack is a BEAST. I load it up with a ton of gear (DJ equipment: cords, laptop, mics & receiver, etc) and love the quality. I have half a dozen in constant use with my crew and have had 0 issues. Plus we travel a LOT and use it as my carry on.

Just google "Target teacher verification" and log in to your account and upload a school ID photo or provide a recent pay stub from your school/Univ and they will verify you are an educator.

It is easy.

I am a high school counselor and was able to get it.

Got a Samsonite laptop backpack last time on here for like $40.

U can check them out, or ebags. The brands they carry are pretty decent.
