For anyone new to Moka pots, you can get really great, espresso like coffee with these. Way better than any espresso machine under $200.
There's a YouTuber called, James Hoffmann, that has a great video on moka pots and the best way to use it. You don't need to go full coffee nerd for some great coffee, but a little more effort makes way better coffee.

"The Alzheimer's Society does not recognize normal daily intake of aluminum through food or cookware as a cause for the disease. Additionally, aluminum from cooking utensils has not been linked to cancer."

Don't be dumb like me and assume each "cup" is equal to 8 fl oz.

🚨❌🚨Stay away from aluminum, get stainless steel (unless you want cancer).

There are a million in your local thrift shop. 🚨❌🚨
The stainless steel ones are still aluminum on the inside, you could use a magnet to check.

Get water hot in a separate saucepan first. Then pour water in the mocha pot and start.

I'm not supposed to drink coffee because of a health issue expert, so I'm not a coffee . I normally do pour over or cold brew. I got one of these that's decades old and was made in Italy, it's interesting. It is a little more 'dirty' than I was used to but still good. I suggest buying it if you are a coffee fan.

Knowing that the gold standard is Bialetti, how does the IMUSA mokapot stack up?

TBH, I use a moka pot because I find it the easiest way to make coffee and get delicious results every time. Plus, we used to get great deals on espresso ground coffee. I did just buy a 20 pack of Lavazza that brought the price down below 3 bucks a bag. I use it everyday so I start by rinsing yesterday's coffee groudns off while my tap water warms up. Fill it with hot tap water. Make my coffee and then add some more hot tap water that cools it down a little to be ready to drink. And so it is more "American". That's it. I'll clean it tomorrow. Way easier than a French press or anything I can think of. If I am making coffee for my wife as well, then I will heat water up in my electric kettle as the majority of the water will be added after.

Do you have a reputable source on this claim?
Of course he doesn't, and to be honest their use of emojis gave it away

Exciting new discoveries are being made about metals every day, such as they can move and shift on their own. There are likely many sources of cancer and I would not be so quick to rule out metals based on 20th century studies, especially since recent studies that show cooking and heating of foods can actually change the DNA of the substances we consume.
Nobody said they were ruling anything out. There is no known association between cooking in aluminum and cancer.

All matter, including metals, are in constant Brownian motion. That is neither a new or exciting discovery. As for your revelation about cooking changing DNA, that nearly makes me want to bang my head into wall it is such an obvious thing to say. Of course cooking can denature proteins and DNA. Who cares? Go ahead and just say it if you are implying something else.

Have this. The quality is garbage but it gets the job done. Don't put it in the dishwasher.
