Linux desktop is great to do just futz around great apps and I like using Edge there! I have a 128gb SD card setup to boot to windows 11 without a hitch for work. Once you have the bootloader boot to the SD card it keeps on booting to SD until you remove the SD card, or just tell it to stop again in bootloader. So it just decides it is a windows device until you tell it to stop. Windows 11 runs flawlessly now, but I really do prefer the SteamOS. I can't believe how put together it is. So game centric! It is crazy Valve did this.
Just crazy. I can get Forza 5 running in Deck mode no problem at 56-60fps nice and smooth. Just love it. You have to get Forza 5 seasonal cars in a week and when you are on vacation you can still get them after the day is done. Diablo 4 runs smoothly at 40fps high settings. You can usually figure out the right settings to make anything look great on that smaller screen.
I have a 16 core 3070 with 4k and would rather run on deck at 720p all day.

I've seen their trade in testing. They put a disc in for a few seconds and that's basically it. Hardware can have all sorts of issues that won't show up from doing that. It's just not worth taking the chance on for such a small discount.
I think I was reading something that indicated to me that the 64GB is the way to go as you can add a SSD in the open slot and not worry about cloning anything. I think it is M.2 but the shorter ones so there's less options than all these ~$35 1TB deals that have been popping up.
Usually it's the ones who cast stones that have the biggest skeletons in their closets.

Edit: Just saw the post on page 2 that elaborated on the Valve/GS arrangement and with that said, I'd definitely avoid buying from GameStop. As a console gamer with a fair bit of knowledge on the subject, I wouldnt take that chance. I know too many people that have bought refurbished from GS and had all the horror stories you have probably heard such as broken consoles, roaches inside, etc.
And you have almost no time to return anything for a cash refund. Spend a little extra and get a new one. Steam Decks have been getting 15% discounts during the major Steam sales for those who didn't know.
