When it comes to Tracfone brands and the 60 day unlock period, here is what it takes to get your phone unlocked:
When you buy an iPhone or Android through your Tracfone brand the imei is in the system but not the unlock system. To make sure you get your imei into the unlock system you need to text "Unlock" to 611611 and the first time it will not do anything, texting "Unlock" to 611611 a second time will insert the imei into the unlock system and send you the official unlock date.
You will disqualify from unlocking your phone if you do the following: Swap the original sim from the device you want to unlock to another phone in the first 60 days, have service for 30 days and then cancel, unlock 100's of phones in 30 days(Fraud), Pay with a stolen credit card(Fraud), and others that Tracfone constitutes not qualified.
Note: Tracfone brand iPhone's work on almost any network after being unlocked, select Android devices may have trouble with carrier compatibility on select Networks. Tracfone brand Androids are usually DL models which not all Carriers may support due to whitelisting issues. Some Android phones require the user to be on the original network the phone was activated on to receive updates.
Note 2: All Tracfone brands are now owned by Verizon, this means all new activations will be on the Verizon network and will be required to qualify for unlocking phones. Any Tracfone brand AT&T/T-Mobile existing customers will have until Nov 2024 to switch off of your Tracfone brand unless your ok with Verizon only service and will need to ask your Tracfone brand to convert you to a Verizon sim. If not you will need to switch to a T-Mobile/AT&T MVNO or go AT&T/T-Mobile carrier direct by Nov 2024.

For android phone, you will have to request the unlock code from their online unlock portal. They will ask you for some information to verify eligiblity then ask you to give them your email address. The unlock codes and unlock instructions will be sent to the email you provided. After that, all you need to do is to dial a combination of numbers to access the unlock menu, enter the unlock codes, then reboot to get the phone unlocked.

Total is owned by Verizon but they have separate stores. For Total deals, you have to go to a Total store. An analogy is like the Yum brand. Pizza Hut and Taco Bell are both owned by Yum but Pizza Hut deals won't work at a Taco Bell store.
Edit: If you go back a few posts up, there is a guy who said he is a store manager for Total. Not sure if he is willing to answer questions if you PM him though.
I dont get total w/ the portfolio other than they offer multiple phone discounts but still charge postpaid taxes. It is a weird bird and value dubious.
