I've never used this stuff. If there a hole such as nail puncture, I patch it myself using the self-repair kit, tar strip. It's more work cause removing the tire is necessary.
This completely destroys the inner tube, correct? As in you can't use it anymore after ?
Shouldn't destroy an inner tube. You put it in through the valve stem and it just sloshes around until a puncture is formed and magically becomes a little plug.
Lots of hit or miss reviews, but here's my anecdote: When I changed my rear tire+tube on my hardtail XC bike, I found six or seven little punctures that had successfully been plugged with Slime. No clue how long they'd been there but I got around 700 miles out of the tire total and only changed everything because the knobs were worn nearly flat. Most of the punctures were likely from goatsheads, as I pull them out of my tires often.
I wouldn't use it in a car tire but I Slime the tubes on all of my three bicycles and my enduro motorcycle.
