I never understand why people post these comments about boycotting Amazon as if it actually makes a difference. Prime is a no-brainer for me, it is the largest and most convenient online marketplace by far, excellent customer service where they basically throw money at you everytime something goes wrong, and so many ways to save money, whether through no rush shipping credits, S&S, or just random coupons that show up. If you choose to boycott, its your loss

Looks like I need minimum purchase of $35 to get free shipping.. Does it mean my account is flagged or something? This started last week (or at least came to my attention last week)...

I've never heard of this. I cancelled my Prime membership last year and it has been $25 for an order to get free shipping. When I see things that cost less than $25, I just put them in my cart and order when the cart reaches $25. I do miss out on a few things that go up in price while in my cart, but the good news is this technique has weaned me off of the Amazon impulse buying that was draining my wallet.

EDIT: OP, you are correct. To test I put $27 of items in my cart and it is showing $6.99 in shipping. Apparently, although I have not seen it mentioned elsewhere, Amazon has raised the threshold to $35 for free shipping if you don't have Prime. FWIW, when I cancelled my Prime I went with Walmart+. This move by Amazon will result in even less purchases from them.

I noticed that earlier this week too.. I think they must have increased the free shipping amount. To be honest, Walmart has always been $35, I was kind of expecting Amazon to follow at some point.. It was $25 for a real long time though which was nice.

Let me help you understand....but, first I never said anything about boycotting Amazon. I DID say I cancelled Prime though and basically it boils down to this. While you are very satisfied with your Prime benefits, I am very unsatisfied for an assortment of reasons I won't bore you with except to say paying a higher fee for degraded service and benefits led me to my decision to cancel Prime which I had since '05 when the annual fee was $79.

I still can't find anything about an Amazon increase in the threshold for free shipping to $35 and I wrote to Customer Service to ask about it. Let's see if that "excellent customer service" you mention replies.

You seem like someone who is very difficult to please. I also have no idea what you think "writing to customer service" about this change is going to accomplish. It was quietly rolled out in March, nothing you say or do is going to make you an exception to the rule, and slight increases in price happen all the time for memberships and subscription services. The excellent customer service I was referring to is basically a guarantee that if something happens to your order, you will most likely get a refund/replacement with no questions asked as opposed to jumping through hoops when unexpected things happen. If your interpretation of customer service means "let me argue with you about why a certain change was rolled out 5 months ago and I wasn't informed blah blah blah" I doubt you will be receiving excellent customer service, nor are you entitled to

Place an order of at least $35 to get free shipping and then go into the order and cancel the other items you don't want.

Do pro-biotics need to be taken with pre-biotics? Will anti-biotics kills these biotics? Will 100+ degree weather kill them in transit?

I recently noticed that the Subscribe & Save "rules" seems to have changed (no notice, of course): Now, when I add "Subscriptions", the first order is at normal price (as far as I can tell). Nothing I needed was urgent, so I just went with having 10 small orders of various items delivered on a single day (environmental reasons, mainly). However, none of the "subscriptions" or related discounts show up anywhere. For this item, I saw a 5% discount, but it should be 15% (or whatever their current value is for 5+ items).

I have canceled Subscribe & Save items dozens of times after the first shipment in the past (I can't stand the random pricing, and don't want to order things I don't need), so I wonder that has anything to do with it.

Any info on this would be appreciated; I don't have the patience to try to work with Amazon to figure this out.

Last time I ordered probiotics from a slick deal they were shipped with a cooling agent. Walmart+ is $99– forget it. Did some of you boycott Bud Light? I have yet to try a boycott.
