The 14" OLED screen Lenovo uses, like most of Lenovo's thinkpad displays, is a major fail. I would definitely steer people away from it. A flickering low frequency 300Hz 2880 1800 PWM controlled dimming screen is not acceptable for something you would spend hours staring at from a short distance. Computer monitors are marketed as being "Flicker-Free" for a reason. It's likely to give a lot of folks headaches without them realize where it is coming from. Get the LCD. That's not even considering the major negative impact to battery life a high-res OLED will have.

With 3-year warranty, it's $1452. That's worth the extra $63.

Use ID.me for another 10% off (seniors / students / teachers / nurses, etc. - almost anybody should qualify).

If you have an Amex business card, check your offers for 15% off Lenovo, up to $100 discount. I had two cards with this offer and split payment for $200 off.

And a ceRtain site has 8% bakc. :-)
What I would do for 2 more inches...

Anyone know about battery life?

Sucks how ram is soldered in these newer thinkpads but that seems to be the trend across-the-board (except for the framework laptop of course)

I don't have this laptop (yet) but would expect 4-5 hours of real-world battery life vs 6-8 with LCD. It doesn't help that the battery is small by today's standards. However, maybe the Ryzen 7040's efficiency improvements will help a bit.

As for soldered RAM, yes I agree but won't complain too much, given how reasonably priced the 32GB and 64GB models are.

Amazing deal considering Zen 4 CPU and 64GB RAM !!!! Only caveat is huge durable these Lenovo laptops are. I would get a long warranty and buy it. You cannot get anything close at these prices.

I'm not a huge gamer, but say I want to play need for speed, what can the integrated graphics card handle? How about solidworks or inventor? I haven't purchased a new laptop in years other than the GS16 i9-12 3070ti i just returned, but it was a quick laptop.

How are the onboard graphics? Any good for basic gaming? I love the weight of this thing.
