This would work well if one were to always dock and use external monitors?

Yes, if you use external then the internal doesn't make any sense so it's no different from others.

The spec police are always out in full force.

I've said it once and I'll say it again....there is no standard for testing or rating these specs (from manufacturer to manufacturer) for NTSC, nits, etc. So unless you see the screens side by side you'd never know which is "better" to you ....not sure why anyone even believes these numbers anyway.*

*Wait until you guys hear about $2 flashlights on Amazon claiming to be 500,000 lumens...bUt ThE sPeC sAiD!

I bought one from Lenovo.com on 06/21/2023 at a similar price. I didn't face any issues when transitioning from a 13.4-inch 500nit 4K screen(XPS13) to this one. As they say, the bigger the better. I use it for over 8 hours every day, mainly for coding, web browsing, and gaming.
I was looking for the cheapest 4060 can be used as an Ultrabook.
The first issue I encountered was with the battery. I had assumed that a 90 kWh battery coupled with a 7840HS chip would give me around 7+ hours of battery life under normal usage. However, I discovered that it actually has a 60 kWh battery, and it only lasts about 4 hours. Moreover, the battery management system is not very efficient, so the 7840HS doesn't work its magic as expected.
The second issue is related to the Power Delivery feature. Initially, I assumed that Power Delivery 140W would be capable of supporting up to 140W charging. However, I conducted tests using 30W, 45W, and 65W PD chargers (at 20V, 9V, 15V), but encountered no charging response at all. I did some research and discovered that it actually requires a minimum of a 100W charger for PD charging to function.
So it's just a gamming laptop, don't expect too much on 7840HS. Actually, it's meaningless to have a 7840HS in this
