It works great for touch-up and stuff. Wouldn't use it for heavy duty use

Anyone else see these deals and accidentally buy a tool they already have? Not saying I've done it but I've totally done it with the plainer and stapler.

Thanks! That would be the intended use. Times when I don't want to pull out the shop vac just for cleaning up some drilled holes etc.

Home Depot's site says that can use it with regular, non-HP Ryobi batteries, I'm wondering if it has the third contact to even take advantage of the HP batteries or not

I'm a bit confused. What exactly does this mean?.... "hackable deal (return/never pick up batteries). I shipped to different stores, no issues."

I have mostly Milwaukee tools, but I have some Ryobi batteries for my kids power wheels. What are some Ryobi tools that would be worth getting if I don't already have them in Milwaukee?

OK. I'll try my best to explain the 'hackable' concept.

Unless I'm mistaken, 'hackable' (at least in re: Ryobi and/or other brands of tools) just means that if you do not need batteries (or the tool) included in the specific deal, just don't ever pickup the item you don't want (either the batteries or the tool). If done correctly, you ultimately end up with a highly discounted tool (or batteries).

Here are more details: by default, if those items aren't picked up by a certain date, Home Depot will automatically cancel that portion of the order. BUT here's where the 'hack' happens.

By cancelling (manually or by using the default method of not ever picking it up) half the order, the batteries (or tool) you ultimately keep will have often cost much less compared to having just bought it by itself.

Guys, I hope I explained that correctly. Please correct me if need be. I don't do these deals that often. But I definitely appreciate you guys posting them! 👍🏼

Thanks!....but It's still confusing (at least for me)....wouldn't the purchased item and the "gift" item be part of the same order? How do you pick up/have shipped "half" of the order and "cancel" the other "half"? I'm obviously missing something here.

But is this job site vac wet and dry or only dry? I have the 3 gal and love it because of its portability. Sure it is loud but I can hook it to a saw and other tools as well. Can this be connected to tools to collect sawdust?

Hopefully it doesn't happened like it happened to me. I guess the store had lots of space to hold things because it took almost 2 months for them to cancel my order
