Unless I'm mistaken, 'hackable' (at least in re: Ryobi and/or other brands of tools) just means that if you do not need batteries (or the tool) included in the specific deal, just don't ever pickup the item you don't want (either the batteries or the tool). If done correctly, you ultimately end up with a highly discounted tool (or batteries).
Here are more details: by default, if those items aren't picked up by a certain date, Home Depot will automatically cancel that portion of the order. BUT here's where the 'hack' happens.
By cancelling (manually or by using the default method of not ever picking it up) half the order, the batteries (or tool) you ultimately keep will have often cost much less compared to having just bought it by itself.
Guys, I hope I explained that correctly. Please correct me if need be. I don't do these deals that often. But I definitely appreciate you guys posting them! 👍🏼
