Looks like a great design with the sear burner on the outside and the built in smart thermometer. I've got a char broil with a sear burner in with the rest of the burners. That screws up the temperature inside, and doesn't even work well. This looks better.

Maybe a little small though - could just be bad photoshop. Looks like 2 pieces of corn take up half the grill.

Kenmore website shows picture of assembled grill at ridiculous 88.2" wide. Must be a typo.

"425 square inches plus 168 square inches of secondary cooking surface." So the 40 burgers it mentions would be about 3.26 by 3.26 burgers. I'm thinking this will cook about 15 burgers and some chicken breast in reality. More than enough for a party?

I do need a new grill by end of season and this is tempting but I hate getting something like this delivered. I'd rather go to a store and make sure the box isn't damaged to hell.

It says next day delivery so it must be at a nearby store but it won't let me check nearby stores like it normally does for stuff

The smart features seem pretty cool, especially the tank sensor, but I can't imagine they would survive being outside during the winter even with a cover.

It's a really tempting deal. I do like the sear burner, but at this point I think I'm gonna wait until Sams/Costco clearance their grills.

I was thinking they would burn through batteries like crazy but yes the cold and moisture is certainly another concern

Where would you expect the Sams/Costco grills to come in price wise on clearance? I've held off on this for that reasoning as well, but after looking at both offerings, I don't think there will be a huge cost savings as the regular price for a basic 4 burner Sams grill is $400 and it doesn't have any of the features this one does.

After thinking about this more I went ahead and grabbed one. Price seems very fair and it has all the features I was after. I don't normally but have had bad luck with grills rusting out after just 2-3 years so I grabbed the 4 year protection plan on it for something like $45. Seems like cheap insurance for that long. So now if the temp probes or that interface take a shit or it just rusts out I should be covered.

How are the sensors (temperature and tank) powered on this grill?
Does it need to be plugged to a port outlet or are the sensors battery operated?
