List something about yourself that others might find surprising

The title says it all. List something about yourself that other SDers would find surprising. It must be a real thing about you.

For an example:
Iconian could say he once wrote a sentence that was grammatically correct and all the words were spelled correctly.

If that were a true statement, I would find it surprising. laugh out loud

I'll go first...

I have flown a plane.

I have a passion for really really cozy pajamas or feety pajamas.

I've never farted in front of anyone in my entire life (not counting when I'm sleeping or when I was a baby, lol).

I've never gotten a speeding ticket.

Though I was pulled over by a cop a few years back because they suspected I was part of some drug ring (I was in the wrong place at the wrong time).

From age 8 to about 14 I was in over 50 pageants (my parents tried to talk me out of it actually but I loved them too much so they weren't the pageant freaky parents). I was signed by a modeling agency and modeled for different things in Florida, including a commercial for the video capsule (which obviously didn't take off, lol).

The house I lived in when I was a teenager...we all saw ghosts. We lived next to a graveyard and the houses around there all saw things. One night my door locked and started shaking violently like someone was trying to open the door. I was across the room in the bed and then the door swung open by itself.

I HAVE NEVER HAD TO REMOVE HAIR FROM MY TOES BECAUSE THERE NEVER HAS BEEN ANY.

I don't have much hearing in my right ear due to something a nurse did when I was a kid.

I'm dyslexic.

I save the stupid mother farker spiders that get in our house and take them outside. They thank me by coming back in to bite me.

My husband and I broke up when I was 4 1/2 months pregnant with our daughter and we were apart for 4 years before we got back together.

I read a book a night in the bath.

My grandparents house has a big hole in the basement that was part of the underground railroad.
Holy crap! Shocking

I think I know more about you than I do about my husband. Roll

With how much I like to talk about myself, frankly I'm quite surprised it took me that long to make a list laugh out loud

And here I felt "exposed" by mentioning that I was hired by Continental Airlines almost 20 years ago. Rofl2 Rofl2

No, you may be better off at Rex. . .Yes I said Rex, not the Duke Healthcare. . .they have sterilized their tools in hydraulic fluid - many years ago, but I still don't trust them.

Funny, I was in the dramatic society in high school. Now I just make people laugh amateurly.

Bigeye Autumn, you've been through a lot. And I thought the spider bite was one of the only things. Oh btw, I haven't asked about your hole in a while. . .how is it?

So this is surprising for why? Or are you just self promoting?

I'm an Eagle Scout.

I've had sex with my wife at least twice, and I can prove it with DNA samples from my children.

I have two tattoos.

I've never brewed a bad batch of beer.

My ex-father claimed to be a disciple of the Lord and told my mom that God said he had to kill me (she left him that night).

I'm a fairly good dancer, for a white guy.

I play the sax, bari being my favorite.

I'm an Eagle Scout as well. With palms. (shut up sickos).
I was the youngest boy in at least my District to earn that rank at 15 years 364 days (yes, the day before my 16th birthday).

Congrats! I earned it about 3 months before my 18th bday, but I was the first in my Troop to earn it. No palms for me. I was running track and marching band at the time and my parents never really pushed me so I didn't work too hard for it until I realized I was close enough to actually make it. My Eagle Project Advisor was such a tough guy too, I had to keep modifying my plan to make it harder and harder. In the end it was good for me though.

Diff EQs was one of the math's that I was actually pretty good at, oddly. I also wanted to be an aeronautical engineer, but I was too lazy to take college seriously. I'm still working on that degree.

Yeah I had a hard time taking college seriously. I really had too much fun. . .I was lucky to get into graduate school. . .right place/right time. . .I took that seriously and got my grades up. Then it was off to Med school.

EEK! Differential equations also killed my mechanical engineering degree. I just don't get it.
