List something about yourself that others might find surprising

The title says it all. List something about yourself that other SDers would find surprising. It must be a real thing about you.

For an example:
Iconian could say he once wrote a sentence that was grammatically correct and all the words were spelled correctly.

If that were a true statement, I would find it surprising. laugh out loud

I'll go first...

I have flown a plane.

There are a bunch of old log cabins here at Valley Forge. I love driving through the park on a cold, foggy morning and imagining what it was like when they were building and living in them.

I've flown a Cessna plane from Lake Geneva, Wi to Chicago (75 miles), flew around Chicago and helped land in Waukegan, IL (15 miles from Chicago).

If I wasn't handicapped, I'd be a pilot.

Aren't they neat. I love sleeping in a log cabin. With the thick log walls, they keep pretty stable temps inside too. I have a picture of this one from the 1890's when it was still occupied by pioneers. The fort quit using it once the Indian treaties were signed.

At one point when I was six or seven, I'm told I sat up in bed (while sleeping), recited my multiplication tables, then laid back down.

Yeah, they are neat. I loved going around and touring the park. To think it was such an important historic site, and thinking about how they had to make camp in the winter in the area is just really cool. I'm glad the buildings are preserved so well.

My dream is to have a log cabin on 250 acres of land in the middle of nowhere.

Of course, this log cabin would be 3000+ square feet.

Yeah, good luck with that! It's a really nice dream, but once it snows 12 feet and our gravity changes, you'll be completely screwed.

It would be completely off of the grid, so the 12 feet of snow would be cool.

The gravity thing might give me troubles.
