Home Depot is currently bundling 2 Dewalt tool combo kits with a free Max XR 5.0AH battery (DCB205). By using the Home Depot "hack" (where you order the bundle and return the extra item), the combo kit itself can be had for significantly less. These combo kits include the latest versions of the respective tools that are compact and highly rated for their performance.

NOTE: The Home Depot product images for the 2 combo kits below are swapped. DCK2050M2 is showing the image for DCK2051D2, and vice versa. The title and product descriptions are correct.

Considering a bare 850 is about $72 currently with the hack and assuming a similar price for the 805, that puts those two items at about $145. Two 4 Ah batteries and a charger at about $60. A great deal if you need all of these.

There was another deal two tools a 4ah and a 6ah battery for 299. This two tools 2 x 4ah and a 5ah. So how much you get back for returning the 5ah? Because I might just sell the two tools and keep the the 4ah or maybe I could sell both tool separate each with a 4ah and a charger. I have extra cheep charges and end up with a free 5ah. Decisions decisions. Both bare tools selling new on eBay around $100 each urlhasbeenblocked 13% thats $174 thats leaves me with two 4ah and one 5ah and a charger for around $100 not bad.

Would this work if I bought the bundle in-store? Although I couldn't do an in-store pickup, I went to the store and they had it in stock. Bought it and on the receipt there is fine print that mentions 'Need to return all merchandise for full refund', but then itemizes the "max refund" under each item if returned. So am confused whether I can return the battery if I returned it now?

update: this worked and got back $105 for the battery return.

This is the dumbest deal I have ever come across. Home Depot should be ashamed for this deal. Why would I return my batteries for a deal and the batteries are worth more. Lol

Still seems to work ? Delivered free, says kit is $299, for 209 and battery is $90 on return.

Recieved battery pretty quick then the kit. Returned the battery today sincem I recieved the kit today as well, for $90 (98 with tax).

Deal still seems available.
