If all you care about is brightness, go to BB store and pick the brighter one, that is a more reliable measure. You may find other significant differences along the way.
I am not selling you anything, nor I am convincing you one is better than the other. I am replying so people do not got misled by some of your opinions disguised as facts.

You are cherry picking. The HP is overall slower but does have a couple of very small advantages how VS almost always works. No two processors are exactly the same. Besides why would I want a two gen old I3 that was bottom of the line when it came out. Only two cores come on. The Ryzen has four cores.
