    I loved the concept! However, my temperature readings for both the protein side and ambient side were wildly off. Even worse, the app was just plain awful with a cook time algorithm that did not work either. I sent mine back for a refund. Not worth it even at this price IMHO.

    looks great but can anyone recommend one that is longer? I used a similar one when smoking a pork butt and felt like the prove just wasnt long enough.

    How long does it take to start getting a reading? Problem I've seen, like with Meater, is it takes like 10 minutes to start giving a temperature. A steak on a grill, would be done already by then.

    Had one and the range is not that great. Bought a Chef IQ WiFi probe for $79 and no longer have that problem.

    On the fence here... I trust my Thermapen but it's easy to overcook something if you're checking on it every now and then. I'd like to have something trustworthy with a real time reading.
