Any owner would like to comment on the tablet? Pro's and Con's? There were at least three sales of this tablet in last year. The discussion was lively then.
With 256 in storage and 8 in memory, I'm really interested. But concerned that the last software update was August 1st 2023 and only emergency updates up till August 2024. Read that in the best buy q & a for the tablet.

It has a micro SD slot, too. My order is on the way.
As far as the software updates is concerned, I won't be using this tablet for any important work, not even checking emails. Don't give it any permission unless have to. Turn on the airplane mode on it all the time. Turn off the internet access when not in using. Clear cache and cookies. Reboot the tablet often. The usual stuff.

I've played with the tablet for a day. Here's my pro's and con's.
I have only one con, and it is known to all of us. The lack of software updates from the manufacturer.
The pro's. The build quality is top notch. My tablet was made in February 2023. Android 12 was preinstalled. It's all you will get. The battery was 67% out of the box. The MediaTek chip is just fine. The tablet is snappy for install and uninstall apps. The display and the sound are both excellent. I believe the display panel is from a Chinese maker instead of Samsung or LG. The Wi-Fi is good. No drop connection.

So the tablet to get from Lenovo is the P11 Pro 2nd Gen when it goes on sale for about $230ish. I got one for about $190ish after cashback sites and coupon codes and cash back credit card.
While this tablet will have double the RAM and double the hard drive... the P11 Pro 2nd Gen is about 50% faster due to the much faster CPU and the P11 Pro 2nd Gen has an OLED screen and is AMAZING to watch movies on and the speakers are stupid loud (for a tablet). I am hoping it will go in sale before or on Black Friday, I want another one.

Don't have to be an owner to know the pros and cons.
Pros:
RAM, hard drive space, speakers, battery life of 15 hours vs 11 hours for tablets that are normal in size and this price range. The cheaper tablets usually have longer life of the expensive tablets due to weaker CPU and less bright of a screen.
Cons:
Screen (VS OLED). IPS LCD, Dolby Vision, 400 nits. Nits are good enough but not fantastic and while Dolby Vision is better then HDR10+... this doe not have HDR10+ (no big deal).
bulky vs other tablets (I like a foam case on my tablets, this is not case friendly)
The biggest CON is the CPU. It is a low end mid grade or even lower. The P11 Pro 2nd Gen when on sale ($230ish) is about 50% faster. But it may be fast enough for you.
To me the tablet to buy is the P11 Pro 2nd Gen if it goes back on sale for about $230ish.

I've owned this tablet since a month ago. I have nothing to complain about. The tablet is specifically for reading ebooks, reading websites like slickdeals, etc., watching saved 1080p and 2160p non-HDR videos when I'm not around the big screen TV's. The build-in kick stand is convenient and compact, and saving me $20-$30, because I don't have to buy a separate stand.

I don't use a case. I have a bubble wrap shipping sleeve to keep the tablet when I take it out with me. It's free of charge.
I put a screen protector on the tablet, too. The screen protector is $11 twofer from b-e-ay. It does add a slight negative impact on the touch sensitivity. That's what you get for cheap plexiglass. Nothing major, thou.

Some like the kickstand, some don't. But it is not a great ebook reader... much better off with a dedicated e-ink screen. I have the Poke... the new models are called... Boox Poke5
The P11 Pro 2nd Gen to me is the tablet to get this year... and it is a no brainer. Assuming it goes on sale again at the $230ish price by black Friday.
About this tablet... it is OK at best. As I stated, the P11 Pro 2nd Gen, while it may have less RAM it is still 50% faster and while yours gets 15 hours of life, the P11 gets over 10 hours.... but yours is heavier.
Screen... the P11 kills it with the OLED screen. For you to buy a OLED screen you need to spend like triple the price... google and oneplus when LCD. And the P11 is 11.2" vs 11".

Not everyone is like you just like not everyone is like me. I always use a foam case that has a handle that acts as a stand. And I am not crazy about screen protectors cause even the expensive ones sometimes takes away from the sensitivity.
My philosophy is to buy a drop proof case for all electronics, I don't care what it looks like. The most heavy duty is my favority.. for my cell phones I try to buy Poetic Revolution Case.

I use screen protector for I can't stand the scratches, regardless how small. On the other hand, I never drop my tablets. Have owned them since 2013. Good 10 years of tracking record.

I wish the P11 were on sale for $230 at the time I bought this tablet for $280. But I have no complain whatsoever. eBook reads just fine on this tablet. It beats my 6.7-inch OLED screen telephone for watching movies too. Size matters.
Now since I already have this $280 tablet, the next tablet I'm looking at is the Samsung Tab S8+. My strike price is $450 new.
