Doesn't seem to be a good deal, same or similar model is on clearance at Lowes:

https://www.lowes.com/pd/Samsung-...1003081538

The reviews on there indicate some issues with Samsung freezing coils, poor customer service and cheap shelves.

@ming1981 how long have you owned this refrigerator? I have a similar model about 7 yrs old, with similar looking back panel and for past 3 years, our freezes up every 2-5 weeks. I wouldn't touch this thing if Costco gave it away. There is a tiktok user https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZT8N6dvkj/
that informs regarding this defect and thousands of people have gotten full refunds, even after being years out of warranty. My case wasn't worth pursuing since my unit is among the oldest affected by this horrible design and Samsungs customer support obstructs for months before doing anything. It should really be a class action suit. I will never buy Samsung appliances again.

I have one just like this from Samsung. No issues with freezing coils or shelves.

Samsung customer service is known to be poor. I signed for it when it arrived, however they needed to remove the doors to the fridge to bring it upstairs. The delivery guy said he can't remove the doors himself and someone else would come another day to do that so they can bring it up stairs, but since I already signed for it when he arrived, its already mine and they have to leave it outside. Like WTF? Had to call customer service. Eventually they agreed if I removed the doors within 15 minutes (the amount of time they said they would wait because they have other deliveries), they would bring it up. Took a few tools out and removed the doors. Not sure they they are so anal about that.

The water/ice dispenser in general for Samsung is also known to have issues. This has no water dispenser, but it does have an ice maker. Due to issues I've heard, I decided not to use the ice maker so I have no comment on that.

Seems like the main concerns are about water leaking - if I'm looking for a garage fridge though, this looks about perfect

Your garage fridge is supposed to be 40+ years old, but it refuses to die. Smilie

We've had this fridge for a month and a half (purchased from Costco) and have been very happy with it so far.

We had a terrible experience with a similar LG model where the cooling in the refrigerator section was uneven and it never got cold enough (even after multiple service calls), but Costco made the return/replacement process to get this Samsung as smooth as I could have hoped.

I know the ice dispenser in the fridge freezes/breaks never heard of the freezer ice breaking however.

I have multiple Samsung appliances. They aren't the worst, but I will be avoiding the brand for my home looking forward. Just some random individual's experience.

My Samsung has been a headache. Ice machine broken, leaks under the lower cabinet that has to be constantly drained and de-iced. Just bad build all around

Cant get newer high end Samsung refrigerator serviced in our area in S. Calif. Local appliance repair companies will not work on them due to all the problems.

Never. Ever. Buy Samsung appliances. TVs are okay. Samsung is a conglomerate and they're handled by separate divisions.

Once the coil freezes over it stops the circulation fan. Have to pull it all apart and dethaw it, use a hair dryer to dry everything. And hope you get the trim and insulation back together or it will do it again a week later.

Samsung will keep on making shlt appliances as long as people keep buying. Don't be part of the problem.
