For me, the more important difference is that the g model only supports pcie 3.0 vs pcie 4.0 for non-g model

CPU is 177$
Gpu is 280$
Ram is 40$
Case is 60$
Mother board: 80$
Psu: 80$
Hd: not sure I couldn't find it. Either way in total it's About $700-$800 (depending on hd price) so a solid deal.

Looks great. I just tried to build one yesterday and even with low end budget build Amazon needs $700+ for 5600x. How is this?

The main thing I don't like is the 5700G. A lot of manufacturers do this, but It is quite annoying to see them pairing a ryzen "g" apu in a desktop that comes with discrete gpu...
@ O.P (I don't know how to tag someone who isn't in the comments)

Why is it a big deal for a "G" processor to be used (but not utilized)? As far as I know there is no downside or is the CPU on the non-G model 5700's faster? Perhaps I have missed something.

BTW, this does seem like a very solid deal and one I might buy before the day is out. Thanks for posting! I have been on the fence regarding a budget gaming desktop or going more expensive similar performance laptop but with touch screen.

Decent starting point. Can always upgrade components as time goes on.

Solid deal. Bought a similar pc - Lenovo , main difference is the cpu which is i5-12400, and not refurb - for $750 and am happy with it. Runs Diablo 4 very well. For a prebuilt, no fuss system, probably hard to beat this. Although not sure about the refurb quality.

Someone help talk me out of buying this.

We don't have a home PC for steam and some VR. My 12 year old is dying for a gaming PC.

We would also want to be able to use the meta 2 with it.

Should I buy now and ask wife forgiveness later, or just hold out for Christmas deals?

I trust Slickdeals for my info over my googling.
