What advantage does this have over the DJI Neo 2? As a first time drone owner, the Neo 2 seems like the best deal.
Probably the biggest advantage is more power/heft for cutting through wind, but I would agree that the extra weight/safety concerns and FAA registration isn't worth it for most people - especially for novices. I keep my old Mavic for cinematic shots, but specifically bought a Neo fpv kit for casual fun flying.
The $849 and $1,019 ones have the Goggles 3 not the Goggles N3.. It is worth comparing the goggles before pulling the trigger.
Goggles 3 are definitely superior for any kind of FPV - 100Hz dual micro-OLED screens, lighter weight, and better penetration. If you're on a budget and just want to try FPV, go with the N3.
