Tip: one Walmart reviewer said their local paint store recommended lightly sanding the roof, paint with plastic primer, then paint with white gloss. This will reduce the interior heat and help prevent warping.
Tools yes. Batteries no
There are a lot of negative reviews on Walmart. Not sure if it worth to get it even at this price.

I got the 4'5" x 2'8" from Wayfair for about $100 less a month or so ago. This is a better deal and I am kind of bummed that I don't have more space, but is good enough for now.

Does anyone know how Walmart freight shipping typically works? Want to get the deal but can't accept delivery until the following week and it says delivers by this Thursday. Amazon normally gives you an option to schedule a date but does not look like Walmart does. Anyone have experience with this?

Thanks OP! I just bought two of these Rubbermaid 4x5' Sheds from Walmart instead of Amazon due to the 90 return policy of Walmart and Amazon only being 30 days.

I've been waiting for a shed deal because I missed out on the in-store Costco shed during the Spring/early Summer (Suncast 4x6' $450).

One thing that concerns me are reviews of the plastic warping over time. I plan on putting mine under a tree against my fence in a 50-80 degree F climate, so I'd hope that warping should not be an issue. Anyone have input or experience regarding this?

See my post above. Can you comment if you were given any additional details for scheduling delivery after ordering? Or it shows up when it shows up.

Are these insulated enough to safely store battery tools in the shade but in Southern summer heat? 😕

After ordering, there were no additional details or options besides the delivery date. I will be home all day of delivery, so it works for me.

Regarding the negative reviews, most of all are not detailed enough. Nearly all of the negative reviews say they experienced warping, which caused the door to constantly open or having to slightly lift the roof to open the door. However, we need much more info such as: what kind of foundation is the shed on? Weather conditions of their area? Sitting in the sun or shade? When product was purchase and how long after did warping occur?

There are more favorable reviews than negative, so hopefully that's a good thing…

I have a suncast resin shed like this and I keep the cordless tools in the shed but the batteries in the house. My shed feels like an oven when you open the door in the summer.

I'm in Seattle and it's definitely not 50-80 all year round. But I'd say it could be 40-90 all year round?

My current Rubbermaid is a small one 4*4*4 which is not tall enough for tools. But it's bought by the previous owner and still used by me for 3 years already. I don't know how many years the previous owner used it.

So far so good. But I'm looking for a tall one like this to store shovels and other tools.

Oh yeah I definitely wouldn't keep batteries outside, but wasn't sure if the electrical components of the tools themselves would be damaged stored in the heat. Thanks!
