FWIW, Hisense is the only TV brand I've owned that died on me, and even though many other who bought around the same time (late 2019-early 2020) had same issue 3 years later (out of warranty of course), they wouldn't do ANYTHING. This was an $1100 65" TV, and they wouldn't pay for any part of the repair. All my other TVs are still going (given to friends and family), and the one that broke (Sceptre 55"), was shipped and repaired for free by Sceptre, even though it was out of warranty. This company does not care about their customers.
Hope this saves you the headache.
Can you provide a link? I see a Costco 65A65K that is 60hz native and has a motion rate of 120hz for 359$ the Costco one is google OS and the Amazon one is Roku
Amazon deal has same refresh as this one I see at Costco
Amazon's comes with 1 year warranty
Costco comes with 3 year warranty
I bought a Hisense 65" from Costco and it died on me after about 2.5 years. It had worked fine up until that point.
But, I had a 5 year extended warranty on it, so it was not a big deal to me, as I got almost all of my money back and I used that to order a new TV. I also chose a Hisense for my new TV because for the budget I had, the Hisense had the features I was looking for and I was happy with my previous Hisense (until it died of course.)
I also have an extended warranty on the new Hisense, so I'm covered in case anything were to happen. I'm pretty happy with the picture quality of the new Hisense I got. I bought the ULED U6 65". i paid $500 from Best Buy.
To be honest, I'm kind of glad the previous Hisense I had died, because the picture quality of the new Hisense I replaced it with is significantly better.
I would recommend getting an extended warranty though. The extended warranty didnt cost me much and it gives me peace of mind.

The main board is most likely the culprit. But thst us just my best guess from doing research on the internet. It turns off after being on for about 16 seconds. So I can risk buying the &150 main board and try to put it in myself.
Can't believe they are willing to lose a good customer over a part thst otobsbly costs them $75.
You're confusing Motion Rate 120 with actual 120hz. It's still 60hz. You can't get a TV this cheap that has a 120hz panel. Motion Rate 120hz and native 120hz are not the same thing. Motion Rate/Motion Smoothing/True Motion (every brand calls it something different) adds artificial frames that make the image look worse. 120hz is really only good for gaming and sports. Movies and almost all scripted TV shows are shot at 24hz. You get the soap opera effect when you watch things at a higher frame rate. It looks like the movie or show is on a 1x fast forward.

Yep first thing I do is turn off all the motion crap.

Or buy at Costco with the Costco Citi card. Automatic 4yr warranty.

There's no loyalty these days. It won't guarantee necessarily that you'd be a return customer as TVs are probably sold with very little margin. We're talking Android phone vs Samsung/iPhone type scenario.
Not to mention the cost of labor and travel for the tech (who'd they have to hire 3rd party).
I bet there's a YT video of board repair. If there is no power, it's the power board. We had a Toshiba go out within a year and a Geek Squad tech had to come out and do just that.
